How to Track LinkedIn Engagement in Salesforce

Prerequisites

Before enabling LinkedIn engagement tracking, make sure that:

  • Heeet is installed and configured in your Salesforce org
  • You have access to a LinkedIn account with permissions to the company pages you want to track
  • The Salesforce Lead and Contact objects are enabled in Heeet
  • You have permission to connect third-party integrations in Salesforce

1. Connect Your LinkedIn Account

To start tracking engagement, you first need to connect your LinkedIn account to Heeet.

  • Go to Heeet Settings →  LinkedIn → Social
  • Click Connect
  • You will be redirected to LinkedIn to authenticate
  • Accept all requested permissions and scopes

These permissions allow Heeet to read engagement data related to your LinkedIn company pages.

2. Choose the LinkedIn Company Account to Track

Once the LinkedIn account is connected, select the LinkedIn Company Page(s) you want to track.

  • Choose one or multiple company accounts
  • Heeet will monitor organic engagement on posts published from these pages
  • No manual configuration is required after selection

This ensures that only relevant LinkedIn activity is collected and synced.

3. Daily Engagement Sync

After setup, Heeet automatically syncs LinkedIn engagement data every day.

The following data is collected:

  • Impressions
  • Clicks
  • Engagement signals (likes and comments)

When a known lead or contact interacts with a LinkedIn post:

  • A signal is added directly to the Salesforce Lead or Contact
  • The interaction is visible in Salesforce timelines and reports
  • Engagement data can be used for scoring, prioritization, or attribution analysis

This allows teams to understand who is engaging, not just how many interactions occurred.
